On a very bobbly drying out water based pitch Worcester took time to settle and had to soak up lots of good attacking play by Leicester. After 27 mins Worcester had found their rhythm and were rewarded with a short corner well struck by Sophie Stock and deflected in by a Leicester defender . Just before half time a very bobbly shot at a short corner trickled into to the corner past the keeper. Worcester actually looked the better team in the 2nd half and Leicester not looking as if they could score in open play. With 1 minute left Lucy Scales picked up the ball at the half way line and drove forward to pass to Sade Gerald who deftly lifted the ball over the keeper. Great win.
