Another win for the 4s!

Worcester Ladies 4s faced Kings Heath 2s today at home.

From the offset we were strong and focused, and dominated the play. Grace and Phoebe took control of the pitch from the centre and Annabelle, Rachel and Kate made a number of runs down the wing. On a break Kings Heath scored making us 1-0 down, but we came back with a vengeance and scored 2 goals in quick succession, gaining the lead. With heads held high we scored again from a fantastic break with some confident passing across the pitch, and the first half ended with a superb goal from Caitlin who smashed the ball into the far corner from the edge of the D.

After a positive team talk led by Georgie, we went into the second half ready to battle to further our lead. A lull in conversation slowed the game down, but we soon found our feet and another goal was scored by us. With our confidence renewed, everyone battled for the remaining 20 minutes, and although Kings Heath slipped another goal in, we scored once more in the last 2 minutes, solidifying our win.

Final score was 6-2 with 3 goals from Caitlin, 2 from Lily and 1 from Phoebe.
POTM went to Caitlin from the opposition and from home, and Muppet went to Millie for almost getting carded, and Ffion for doing her best to give the opposition the ball.

Every single player in the team made a positive contribution to the game today, and it was fantastic to see the improvements in individual players. Keep it up girls!
