Pippins pulverise Potters!

On paper, it was due to be a one-sided affair and so it proved.

The Pippins played superbly and should, probably, have scored more than the 9 they did.

A disappointing game as far as the Pippins defenders and Goalkeeper were concerned as there was simply nothing to do. There were only 2 circle penetrations by the Potters into the Pippins 'D' in the first half and just 5 in the second, despite the Potters borrowing Seb Hood from the Pippins and playing with 12. Shipley in goal literally touched the ball once in 70-minutes.

Goals scored by Tom Scotson (2), Alex Byng (2), Dan Rickman (1), Luke Bowerman (1), Milly Short (1) & Alastair Borwell-Fox (1).

I know this only adds up to 8, but nobody was sure who scored the 9th - maybe Austin can claim it.

The Pippins record currently reads: Played 4, won 4, scored 31, conceded 1. Pretty tidy! :)

Hard to say what each side will have learnt from this game, but we've got to do it all over again on 23rd January.

Rest week next week as it's half term, time to re-energise the batteries and watch out Redditch in the friendly arranged for Saturday 31st October.
