Worcester entertained high flying Leek having had a great start to the second half of the season. Worcester started the game positively putting Leek under pressure and holding any counter attacks at bay. Worcester had a number of flashing chances and thought they had taken the lead when a ball was smashed into the circle and deflected into the goal, however it was disallowed. Despite this Worcester continued to be patient and regrouped, but soon found themselves under pressure and Leek went ahead through a well worked short corner. Worcester didn't let the goal get to them and continued to be patient and saw out the half, almost drawing level on the half time whistle. A hailstorm that turned the pitch white made an interesting start to the second half and made playing conditions difficult for both teams and it was Worcester who were under greater pressure from Leek as they started to find their rhythm in attack. Half way through Leek quickly doubled then trebled their lead to 3-0. Worcester did not lose their fight and despite going 4-0 down continued to put pressure on Leek. Eventually Worcester found a way through after a quick ball out of defence to Sarah Baggs in space who quickly played the ball across to Jo Walker who calmly went around the keeper and slotted the ball home with minutes remaining.
