The Worcester Ladies 1st Team took to the pitch today, spirits high with a home crowd behind them despite the start of 'hockey season weather.' Edgbaston showed extreme skill on the ball and with a solid strike from the top of the D managed to pocket the first goal of the game from a short corner. However, Worcester kept their composure and maintained their majority possession with well worked transfers and successive passing. It has to be said that the opposition keeper was on form, making Worcester work hard for their 2-1 win. The first goal coming from a sweet reverse from Man of the Match Holly Smith, and the second from a 1-in-a-million shot to the crossbar by Tay which was picked up and scored by Holly. Other than Lottie being sent off with a green for not being 5 (earning herself DOD in the process) it was a well fought game and a win to be proud of.
