Worcester Ladies First team is an enigma to supporters, coaches and players alike. While we continue to go from strength to strength as a team, perhaps even demonstrating some of our strongest periods of play in today's game against Lichfield, the ever elusive winning streak seams to escape us. Captain Helen Barnes wrote today:

'We kept our heads and we passed it around well and kept fighting to the end. Just not as clinical in the circle as we have been or quite as tight at the back as we previously have been!'

While todays 6-2 home defeat left the team in low spirits it is important to remember that the scoreline does not reflect the level of passion nor the skill that each individual commits to the team. Goals came from Ellie Summers' central sweep off Tash Walkers rocket passed crash ball and a deftly touch from Becca Bolton which caught even the keeper off guard. MOM does to Lindsey Beynon however, for her composure, positioning and skill both on and off the ball. DOD goes pretty much unanimously to Ellie Summers for 'taking a nap on the pitch' as one player put it
