Hampton in Arden Match Report

Worcester vs Hampton in Arden 3rd Oct 2015

Worcester 2nds first league game of the 2015 season and with a new skipper Chris Watling in charge started the game with a high intensity and soon took control of the game. With sustained pressure Worcester made the breakthrough with some neat passing from Watling, Hughes and then Ollie Ranscombe who took the ball on and smashed the ball home from a tight angle.
Worcester doubled their lead soon after with Jeff Drake netting from close range. Worcester continued to dominate the opposition with Hooper running riot and breaking from midfield fed Jeff Drake a easy tap in to make it 3-0 at half way.

The second half should have been more of the same but Hampton were able to take advantage of some slack defending and steal a goal to make it 3 -1. Worcester continued to work hard and were rewarded with a 4th goal slotted in by Steve Grant. With the game wrapped up Worcester saw the game out with a good performances from Ranscombe on his 2nd team league debut.
