One to learn from

Worcester vs. Harborne 17th october 2015

Result 2 – 7

Worcester 2nds looking to continue their unbeaten start to the league season entertained joint top of the league Harborne who were also unbeaten. The game started back and forth for the first 10 mins until Harborne were able to break away and slot home a well worked goal. Worcester responded immediately and applied some pressure to the Harborne defence and were rewarded with a couple of short corners. The second corner needed to be improvised and the quick thinking Watling was able to setup Ollie Ranscombe for a tap in to make it 1-1. Harborne again were able to get the upper hand by making the most of a Worcester mistakes and again putting the ball away to regain the lead. This trend continued and mainly due to Worcester mistakes Harborne made the most of every error and took a 4-1 lead in to the second half.

After a stern talking to from the skipper, Worcester needed to improve however this didn’t materialise and Harborne scored again from further basic mistakes from Worcester players to make it 7-1. Worcester did manage a consolation goal scored by Ben Martin to make it 7-2. A very poor performance by Worcester 2nds with the exception of 2 or 3 players. Need to improve next week in performance, fitness and attitude!
