Final friendly win

Worcester had a long trek to Lichfield for their last friendly of the season. They started well creating a number of chances before going behind to a rare attack from Lichfield after 15 minutes. Worcester pushed the home team deep into their own half hitting the post and shooting inches wide on numerous occasions before a Jack Ferman shot was deflected past the goalkeeper. In the second half Worcester continued to dominate forcing numerous short corners before Ferman again struck from close range. Against the run of play Lichfield forced a short corner that they converted for an equaliser. Once again Worcester spurned countless chances in front of goal, while the rare Lichfield counter attack in reply was easily dealt with by Austin Shipley in the Worcester gaol. Just as it looked like the game would end in a draw, Worcester forced another short corner, with Luke Pillinger finally forcing the ball home after it came of the keepers chest. Not the best of days, but good performances none the less from youngsters Austin Shipley, Dan Rickman and Alistair Borwell-Fox.
