This was a great result for Worcester against their local rivals. Worcester started well taking the game to Stourport. After ten minutes Worcester forced a short corner, Stuart Mackellers flick at goal was parried by the keeper, with the rebound falling to Henry Durie who struck a fantastic shot on the turn that flew high into the goal. Worcester kept the pressure on and shortly after doubled their lead when Matt Brindley fired the ball home after being played in by Rory Simons. Brindley then grabbed another again sweeping in a ball from Rory. Unbelievably Worcester then went four goals up just before half time when Durie scored his second with a great solo effort. In the second half Stourport fought back and forced Worcester deep into their own half and won a number of short corners, converting one to grab a goal back. Shortly after they scored another and for a period Worcester were forced to dig deep. However, a yellow card for one of the Stourport players relieved the pressure allowing Worcester to push the home side back into their own half, and their domination resulted in a fifth Worcester goal when Andy hares rifled home a loose ball from the top of the dee. A great team performance.
