Not a good day for the 5th team. Worcester started well enough matching Edgbaston across the pitch for the first 15 minutes before they conceded a goal from a short corner. That was the turning point and shortly after Edge doubled their lead when the Worcester defence was caught napping leaving an Edge striker to score from close range. They went three goals up soon after when the ball got caught inside the Worcester keepers pads only to drop out at the feet of an unmarked attacker who slammed the ball home. In the second half Worcester improved a bit but were left increasingly frustrated by umpiring decisions that (in their opinion) left stick tackles and physical play go unchecked. Matt Brindley at one point being thrown to the ground when shielding a ball, with the play just being waved on. Edge scored their fourth midway through the half and Worcester could find nothing in reply. The day was made worse when the Worcester keeper received a yellow card, right in final minutes of the game.
