A disappointing result for Worcester against second placed Sutton. Worcester started brightly and pressured Sutton forcing them back into their own half, and forcing their keeper to make some decent saves before Worcester took the lead through Matt Brindley. This spurred Sutton into action and shortly after they equalised with a well taken short corner. Just before half time Sutton took the lead when a speculative cross cum shot from the edge of the dee went flying into the back of the Worcester goal. Worcester came out for the second half believing they could get back into the game and pinned Sutton back for long periods. However, they conceded a third with a route one counter attack, then a fourth from a short corner. Although Worcester continued to press until the end of the game they could not break down the Sutton defence.
