This was a fantastic result against the league leaders. Both teams started well but Cannock soon had Worcester on the back foot, however, a quick counter attack saw the first real chance of the game fall to Worcester but Rorys attempted flick over the sliding keeper was saved. Within minutes however another swift Worcester counter saw them take the lead when Adi Shipley fired home at the second time of asking. Again Worcester soaked up pressure then countered again with Pete Young racing through the Cannock half playing a ball into the dee for Matt Brindley to put in on his reverse stick at waist height. Cannock hit back from a short corner but at half time Worcester had the lead. In the second half Cannock forced Worcester deep into their half but they defended superbly as a team then once again broke, Pete Young racing past the Cannock defence squaring the ball to Rory who fired home. As Cannock continued to press winning numerous short corners the result was assured when Rees Bonham found Luke Adams who played the ball in for Pete Young to bundle home. Everyone was outstanding a fantastic team performance.
