The 5ths claimed all 3 points in a very tight encounter against Sutton 5th. The game was an even affair with both sides having chances but neither having enough cutting edge to take full advantage. Worcester started with just 10 men and had to clear one off the line before they could field a full side after 10 minutes, from then on they managed to force Sutton onto the back foot for good periods without really troubling the visiting keeper. At half time both sides saw the game was there for the taking. The Sutton keeper made a fantastic diving save from a Stuart Mackeller short corner, but was beaten 5 minutes later when Mackeller bundled home the ball from close range. The last 5 minutes were dominated by Sutton as Worcester gave away possession too cheaply, but despite a number of short corners the visitors couldn't find the equaliser.
