Worcester 5th were defeated by a solid and well drilled Olton side despite dominating the game for large periods. In the first half Worcester started well but went a goal down when a defensive error was pounced on and punished by the opposition. Worcester however dug in and created a number of good opportunities and a number of short corners, but could not convert these into goals. The second half was much the same with the home team winning at least 8 short corners, each attempt either put wide, over or smothered by the Olton defence. A swift counter led to a short corner which the visitors duly converted, and although Worcester pinned Olton deep into their own half they could not find a reply.
