The 5s crashed to a 2-4 home defeat at the hands of Warwick 4th this week due to a very poor first half performance. From the start Warwick were the better side moving the ball quickly and freely while the home side were left chasing shadows. Warwick's dominance was rewarded after 10 minutes when they fired in a well struck short corner. This sparked Worcester into life and they soon drew level when Jack Ferman diverted in a well worked short corner of their own. However, instead of upping their game Worcester entered a 10 minute period where things went from bad to worse. Poor marking and decision making resulted in Warwick scoring a further 3 times in quick succession to give them a 1-4 lead at the break. The second half however was a better performance from the home side. Worcester moved the ball around more and held on to possession more and although they only managed to pull one goal back, when Tom Lewis fired home a loose ball in the area, in the final minutes, they should be pleased with the way they approached trying to turn the game around.
