Worcester 5ths defeated Edgbaston 5th thanks to a hat trick from Dave Lewis. Worcester worked hard all game moving the ball quickly in appalling conditions. Lewis struck first with a drag flick from a short corner after 15 minutes, then doubled the home sides lead shortly after when he rounded the Edgbaston defence then smashed the ball home off the underside of the bar. In the second half Lewis completed his hat trick when he again slipped clear of the defence smashing the ball past the out coming keeper. Edge pulled a goal back towards the end of the game, but it was too little too late for the visitors.
