Worcester travelled to Barford who had to date gained 16 of their 19 points at home. It was little surprise to come away empty handed. Worcester started well dominating the game and keeping Barford firmly in their own 25. However, Barford took the lead after 20 minutes with their first attack when their player controlled the ball with his foot before firing home. Unfortunately for the visitors this was missed by the umpire. Although Worcester had chances they were denied by good defending. In the second half Barford scored soon after the break to double their lead, before Paul Simons guided the ball home from a short corner. Within a few minutes Matt Brindley pulled the visitors level before they were reduced to 10 men, after Simon Griffiths received a yellow card, Worcester then faced almost consecutive short corners until Barford had gained a 4-2 lead. Undeterred Worcester carried on and pulled another goal back again through Brindley, just before the final whistle. Fantastic performances from everyone in very trying circumstances !
