Worcester 5ths put in an outstanding performance against a incredibly strong Stourport side. Under pressure from the start Worcester were forced deep into their own half with keeper James Hurley making a number of excellent saves including a superb double save at a short corner to deny Stourports David Knott. Worcesters hard work and determination paid dividends just before the break when Matt Sharratt fired home on the counter attack following good work from James Quinn and Tom Scotson. In the second half Stourport again flooded forward, winning numerous short corners only to be denied time and again by Hurley, however, as Worcester tired with ten minutes to go Stourport found an equaliser, then quickly rifled home two more to extinguish any hopes Worcester held of clawing something back. A game played in good spirit by both teams.
