Edgbaston 4th v Worcester 5th

Worcester 5th crashed to a 4-0 defeat at Edgbaston 4th, with only themselves to blame. Edge took an early lead when the Worcester defence let an Edge forward run through unchallenged before firing home. They doubled their lead shortly after from a broken down Worcester short corner, that was smashed downfield at chest height, to a waiting forward who again outstripped the defence. Worcester struggled to string passes together but did manage to force a number of short corners that they could not capitalise on. Shortly before half time Edge again caught out a sleeping defence to add a third. In the second half Worcester again conceded quickly but then rallied and started to work together, creating a couple of opportunities that went untaken. A performance to learn from!
