Worcester had a great result despite the worst of starts. From the off Worcester were sluggish error prone and Sutton quickly took advantage going a goal up after less than 10 minutes. To make matters worse they doubled their lead shortly after, and it looked like the home side were in for a very taxing afternoon. However, Worcester dug in and slowly started to turn things in their favour pulling a goal back when Tom Scottson forced the ball home at a short corner, to go into the break 2-1. In the second half Worcester started to play better equalising through a Dave Lewis drag flick then taking the lead shortly after again through a Lewis flick. More Worcester pressure resulted in a goal for Tom Lewis, then Worcester had to weather pressure from Sutton before a Matt Sharratt strike effectively put the game beyond the visitors reach.
