Potters out fighting

A young badgers side took to the field, with 7 players making their league debuts. Redditch were the stronger side for most of the match and deservedly took the lead midway through the 1st half. A second goal was conceded early in the 2nd half. With Matt tackling superbly and Austin making a couple of good saves Redditch failed to make further inroads. The midfield trio of Seb Luke and Stuart worked tirelessly to keep Worcs in the game. The whole team began to play better. Our marking and passing improved to the extent that we were on top in the last 1/4. Grace and Ned, up front, were able to attack rather than help out in defence. They combined to win a short corner, from which Sebs crisp shot beat the Redditch keeper. A fair result with encouraging performances from all.
