Final Score: Coventry & NW 2 : 4 Worcester HC A positive team performance by the WHC Potter’s away at Coventry produced plenty of possession and scoring opportunities which eventually resulted in a comfortable win on Saturday. In changeable weather conditions the Potter’s immediately found their rhythm by competing strongly for the ball and seeking to move it quickly forwards. This positive attitude was rewarded with goals by Imogen Gillgrass and Will Wickett in a first half mostly controlled by the Potter’s. But for a soft goal being conceded near half-time and a lack of composure in front of goal the score line would have been more imposing. Into the second half the team were made to work harder by an opposition who decided to be more adventurous. The midfield of David Shephard, Will Wickett, Jemima Moss and Connor Winkworth kept a good shape throughout the match managing to stop most attempts by the opposition to construct attacking passages of play. The defence including Cara Nyamekye, Bella Fielden, Matthew Boulton and Luke Bowerman remained focussed and competitive dealing with everything thrown at them. This solidity was rewarded by breakaway goals by Jacob Tribe and David Shephard to ensure that despite another soft goal being conceded when the defence momentarily lost focus the final result was never in doubt. Goals for Worcester: Imogen Gillgrass, Jacob Tribe, Will Wickett, David Shephard Man of the Match: David Shephard
