Potters out fighting

What an amazing display of skill and team effort in this local derby from both teams. Stourport took the lead from a good strike at a short corner on 10 minutes. With both sides playing at least 6 girls at any one time on the pitch it was very evenly matched. Worcester equalised through Seb Hood after a goalmouth melee. Half time score was 1-1. All the girls linked well with Rees Bonham in the midfield and Will Wickett and Will Hood consolidated the play in the defence. After the break Stourport struck again in the 1st minute from another short corner to take the lead. Worcester then knuckled down to exert the pressure they need to attack Stourports goal and in an exciting finish to the game and great cross from the right wing saw Jemima Moss cooly slot the ball home in front of goalfor 2-2. Stourports keeper played well all game and squashed many shots on target and also Austin Shipley grew in stature to make some amazing saves in the 2nd half. A fair result.
