Worcester Potters travelled to Edgbaston on Saturday 20th of December and after last weeks called off game due to a frozen pitch were looking forward to playing once more. It always looked like it was going to be a tough match with two adults on the pitch and an adult kicking back facing up to Worcester and the first half turned out to be just that with 3 goals for Edgbaston. Worcester came out a different team in the second half, passing the ball instead of running it and had many more shots on goal than Edgbaston, but were repeatedly denied by the opposition adults. Finally Max Butterfield made a break through the Edgbaston midfield and passed the ball round the Edgbaston adult and onto Jacob Tribe who knocked it in to claim a goal for Worcester. Edgbaston claimed one more late in the half against the run of play with a luck break to see the final score 4 – 1 to Edgbaston. Despite the result the second half was a very good performance by the team with centre back William Randall pulling off a number of beautiful tackles to halt the opposition and then launching down the pitch to put the pressure back on Edgbaston, Immi Gilgrass at left half working well with Jemima Moss at left back and Alastair Borwell-Fox at right back marking out of play a really strong Edgbaston left wing. Man of the match jointly goes to Cameron Palmer and Connor Winkworth who combined throughout the game to repeatedly put the pressure on Edgbaston down the right hand side supporting each other and passing round players.
