Safeguarding changes to Pitchero - this could affect everyone

Please add your Date of Birth to continue receiving emails

Please read and act as appropriate on the following information from Pitchero:
What has changed?
All messages sent by club members to other club members under 14 years old will automatically be sent to their registered parents. The message will include the name of the child that the message is referring to.
This already happens for other types of communication sent via Pitchero e.g. selection and availability prompts etc.
When sending messages to registered members between the ages of 14 and 16, any registered parents of those members will also receive a copy of the message.
What does this mean to Worcester Hockey Club members?
To ensure that this functionality works, all registered members will need to have set their date of birth on their Pitchero account - this will have been done by the vast majority of your members when creating their Pitchero accounts.
If a registered member does not have a date of birth set on their Pitchero account, they will need to log in to Pitchero and update their details to ensure they can still receive club communications.
To give members time to update their Pitchero user account details we will continue to send messages to all registered users without a date of birth listed on their account until 23rd January 2023.

After this date, members without a date of birth set on their Pitchero account will not receive club communications until they log in to Pitchero and update their details.

Over the next 4 weeks, Pitchero will contact all members of your club who are missing a date of birth in their account requesting they add one at their earliest convenience to ensure they can still receive club communications.

If you have any concerns you'd like to share with Pitchero, please contact support@pitchero.com

FAQs
What is the difference between a registered and unregistered member?
An unregistered member is someone that has been added by the club but the member doesn’t have their own login details.
A registered member is someone that has login details to a Pitchero account they can access.
The club can only communicate with registered members, except when the member is a child and is linked to a registered parent on Pitchero (as explained above).
