Worcester travelled to Edgbaston knowing it would be tough game, and it started off that way with Edgbaston having more possession in the first half, and despite some great defending to keep it level for the first 15 minutes, Edgbaston found a way through to take a 1-0 lead. They continued to press but a superb team effort from Worcester kept them out for the remainder of the half.

The second half was like a different game. Worcester took control early on and held consistent pressure. Some great passing moves from Rees Bonham and Seb Hood led most of the attacks, along with some aerials from Malcolm Evans feeding the wingers well. And it worked well when Rees found space down the left, drawing in the Edgbaston defenders before feeding a through ball into the D where Elliot Lamonds touch set up Luke Pillinger for a shot from a tight angle, leaving the keeper stranded.

And Worcester stepped it up another gear from there, with Edgbaston looking tired, the away side continued to push for a winner. A good run from right back James Drewnicki led to a pass forwards to young winger Cam Palmer who calmly dribbled into the D before pulling his pass back across goal where Nat Garfield rifled home for the lead. From that point Edgbaston looked defeated, and despite some pressure in the last 10 mintues, they weren't able to trouble the Worcester goal.

A perfect second half performance all round, with special mentions to Rees, Seb and Cam who controlled play with great maturity. Also a special mention to the skipper who nearly broke his nose in a collision, before ending the game with a green card for tripping over the opponent in a last minute Edgbaston counter attack.
