Another sunny Saturday afternoon and the mens 6s took on table topping Finchfield 4s.
Despite a bright start by the 6s, Finchfield scored a good goal on the break but them Worcester took control, converting 1 of many short corners to equalise. Well done Noah!
A disastrous last five mins of the half saw the Mens 6s concede 2 goals and go in 3-1 down.
After a robust team talk at half time from Muddy and Gerry the team played much better in the 2nd half, and despite some early pressure from Finchfield (ably dealt with by the defence and Goal Keeper) the second half settled into a situation where for the last 20 mins it was all Worcester with Finchfield playing a very defensive 9-0-2 formation. In the end though Worcester could not find a way to score again and the game ended 1-3.
Overall a good game from everyone in the Worcester side, but sometimes you just do not get the result you deserve. On to next week and another trip to Edgbaston only 2 weeks since we were last there.
